September Center Planning Meeting

Center Planning and Development Council
Tuesday, 7:00 pm, September 27, 2016
Trailside Center, 99th & Holmes

AGENDA

Representatives from the Veteran’s Community Project will tell us about the 50 unit “tiny homes” project planned for homeless veterans on 4.74 acres near Troost at 1201 W. 89th Street, Veteran’s Village. MPD zoning will be utilized. It will be heard at the Planning, Zoning and Economic Development Committee on October 4th.

Keep Out the Rain KC is one piece of Kansas City’s largest infrastructure investment in the Overflow Control Program. It is to help property owners fix improper plumbing connections that contribute to sewage back-ups in homes and businesses. Lisa Hummel from the Water Department will tell us how we can help with this worthwhile program.

Major Perez, South Patrol, will talk about the elimination of Community Interaction Officers and ways neighborhoods and the Police Department can interact and communicate. Mike Hammer in South, and John Trainer in Metro are being reassigned to patrol areas. We have appreciated our relationship with these officers.
