Agenda for Community meeting on May 31, 2016
Center Planning and Development Council
Trailside Center, 9901 Holmes Road
Tuesday, May 31, 2016
The Trailside Parking lot is under construction.
Please park (with care) on the north side of 99th where Patrikios used to be,
or across the street in Holmeswood Shops or Gomers Plaza.
Brandon Buckley from Lane 4 will tell us about the newest plans for the Red Bridge Shopping Center. If you were unable to come to the Groundbreaking on May 20th, please come to hear these plans. It is important for the neighborhoods to support this development in order to return it to a viable shopping center.
Celebration Event for Trailside Center. Our 5th and 6th City Council representatives, PIAC representatives, Mark McHenry and his and City staff have been invited for a formal thank you from all of us for the City’s purchase of the former Patrikio property on the North side of 99th and Holmes. This will enable the Trailside Center to continue to offer the community services it has been providing. Parking has always been an issue. PIAC funds were approved for the purchase and development of this property.
Also, we will be hearing more information about the possible plans for the property.
Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
Wednesday, May 25th at 7pm at South Patrol. KCNoVA will explain what they are doing to control crime. All neighborhoods are invited and encouraged to attend.
Saturday, June 4th from 8 to noon at South Patrol. The Women’s Self-Defense Class. Register by calling 413-3500. This is a very popular class and is well-attended.
This will be our last meeting before the summer months until September. If you have elected new officers in your neighborhood or homes association, please let me know. We hope everyone is a registered neighborhood or homes association with the City.
